Get in the Holiday Spirit at ZooLights
Every November, more than half a million eco-friendly lights take Smithsonian’s National Zoo from everyday attraction to festive holiday oasis. The ZooLights display will continue to bring the holiday cheer every day (except December 24th, 25th, and 31st) now through New Year’s Day at the National Zoo.
Although the twinkling holiday lights are the main event, ZooLights also boasts a lineup of new attractions this year, like the Gingerbread Village. Snap a photo on the Gingerbread Throne as you enjoy gingerbread cookies and festive lollipops. Then head to the overhauled Grump Holiday Market to do some last-minute shopping—it boasts twice as many vendors as last year. You can also enjoy laser light shows, a ride on the carousel, and some Reindeer Games at this year’s ZooLights. Admission is free.
