See a Brand New Adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s First Novel With “The Select (The Sun Also Rises)” by the Shakespeare Theatre Company

When you think of Ernest Hemingway’s breakout novel The Sun Also Rises and how it would translate to the stage, you think of a musical comedy, right? No? Well, maybe you should! You will after you see a performance of The Select (The Sun Also Rises) from Washington D.C.’s Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center for the Arts. The theatre is located in Penn Quarter, just a 15 minute Metro ride from Allegro apartments.

The play is an adaptation of the novel by the Elevator Repair Service theatre ensemble, and is the third play in a trilogy of literary adaptations. Throughout the performance, the classic story is fully reimagined and given a classic twist through the use of different art forms. If you love the novel, give this updated version a shot!

The play runs through April 2nd and ticket prices range just $59 to $118 per seat.
