Sip House-Made Cider at Anxo Cidery
Anxo Cidery, located in the Brightwood neighborhood, is a brand new cider production facility and tasting room offering Basque-style food in addition to house-made ciders. Their food menu consists of Spanish tapas along with sandwiches, meat and cheese plates, and brunch dishes.
Order the popular Vaquero Panini stuffed with roast beef, caramelized onions, and fresh horseradish sauce. Make sure to also pair your meal with their new Collaboration #7 Cider made with Vermont Eden’s specialty cider blending four varieties of heirloom Vermont apples. Guests can also enjoy 24 draft lines of cider, eight curated beers, red and white vermouth, and specialty cocktails.
The space includes three oak casks from the Chianti region of Italy, plus two 1,000 gallon fermentation tanks, which are all visible from the tasting room. The renovated warehouse has a modern industrial feel with bright pops of red, two garage-style doors that can open when weather permits, and a painted mural by DC artists No Kings Collective.
