Enjoy a Brew and a Bite at Newly Opened Bar Roubaix
Roubaix, France plays host to the finish line for the famed Paris-Roubaix bike race. Bar Roubaix, on the other hand, plays host to decor that evokes the sport of cycling and a menu that captures the street foods of Europe. The bar only recently opened in Columbia Heights, but with artsy chandeliers of bicycle wheels overhead and unique food and drink on tables down below, it's already earning some buzz.
Round up some friends and grab a booth at Bar Roubaix for happy hour. You can sip on craft beer as you nosh on knish, which are potato pastries stuffed with salmon and pastrami, or Belgian frites accompanied by curry ketchup, classic ketchup, and aioli. Try the Berlin-inspired doner kebab stuffed with chicken and dressed with yogurt, paprika, and garlic sauce, served over mixed greens, cabbage, carrot, and dill. You can also come to Bar Roubaix for brunch and enjoy an omelet du jour with a mimosa or bloody mary on the side.
