It’s hard to stand out among the sea of dining options in DC, but the newly opened The Delegate is doing it by staying true to its new American style of cuisine. Look for a menu of tried-and-true favorites, like fried green tomatoes, jumbo lump crab cakes, and wild salmon. The Delegate even opens bright and early each day for breakfast service — a welcome addition to the neighborhood for an upscale meal first thing in the morning. The weekend brings a Chef’s Take buffet brunch with omelet, carving, and salad stations, and lots of freshly baked sweets. Find The Delegate on L Street NW in Mount Vernon Square weekdays starting at 6:30 a.m. and weekends at 8 a.m. for brunch. Be sure to make a reservation if you’re visiting on a Friday or Saturday evening, as The Delegate is bound to gain popularity with each passing week.
